Why have we not introduced any entries in the last months? Because restrictions where so big in Autumn and Winter that it was rather difficult to visit Mallorca. We thought it was better to update our blog once the situation would improve.<\/p>\n

Now, step by step, one sees more visitors arriving in Mallorca for their holidays. For this reason, we are now writing new entries on our blog.<\/p>\n

Since uncertainty still prevails, and nobody knows for sure how the situation will evolve (will there be new restrictions?, will it be possible to visit Mallorca this summer?), we have eased our cancelation policy.<\/p>\n

If you need to cancel your reservation because of travelling restrictions caused by the Covid-19 situation, the deposit paid by you when making the reservation, will be kept as deposit for a future reservation of yours and no further cancellation charges will be applied. Art\u00e0 is situated only 4 minutes by car from Na Set Centes. To go to the restaurants at its centre it takes a bit longer, but not much. As an example, I checked with a chronometer how long it takes driving from our park place at Na Centes to Restaurant Sa Gripia, a favourite for our guests, which is situated at the Town Hall Square, in the centre of Art\u00e0: it takes 5 minutes and 14 seconds. Taking into account that along the 259 metres long way from our park place to the main road one drives to a maximum of 20 Km. per hour speed, the 2 Km and 700 meters on the main road from Na Set Centes to Art\u00e0 the speed was never higher than 80 Km. per hour and that 608 metres\u00a0 along the streets from the entrance of Arta to Restauratn Sa Gripia were driven at slow speed.<\/p>\n

In the early morning is cold. Later, temperatures go up to 17\u00ba or higher. This autumn, around Art\u00e0, the weather is like one would expect it should be. Since August it has rained well. It rains one or two days and then the sunny good weather is back. In November, in our finca, Agroturismo Na Set Centes, it has rained more than 200 l\/m2. So far, in December, it has rained 51 l\/m2, in 2017 779 l\/m2 so far. Not bad. Furthermore, it rains without damaging the crops. And some days later, it is sunny again.<\/p>\n

I certainly have not written much on this blog, for last couple of months. It is certainly true that I have\u00a0 added some new pictures on the general section (home section), but\u00a0 I have not written in the different language sections. The reason is that since may we have been practically fully booked and we have been happily busy working so that our guests can enjoy their holidays ast much as possible. Besides taking care of the garden and the swimming pool, this year we have grown a beautiful and considerably big kitchen garden. It is lots of workd, although an ejoyable activity. As a result, we are now enjoying fantastic tomatoes, water melons, melons, courgettes, auberginies, peppers, onions. Not to forget the flowers.<\/p>\n

Now in August is a wonderful moment to enjoy life outdoors: the swimming pool, the garden, the terraces…<\/p>\n

Today we have worked on the vegetable garden almost until it was dark. Not on the small garden by the swimming pool, but on the bigger one. We have already planted strawberries, gherkins, green beans on the ground. Tomorrow we will plant onions, tomatoes, melons, watermelons, aubergines, green peppers on the ground, on the field.\u00a0 <\/span>We already planted seeds from all these mentioned plants some months ago. Some of them are already ready to be transplanted on the ground. As a means of irrigation we use drip irrigation, which saves water and it is very effective. Furthermore, this year we are also watering some areas, the smaller ones, with the traditional surface irrigation by small channels on the earth. If done properly, water does not evaporate and it is not wasted. It requires much more attention and effort. However, once this traditional system is set up, it is enjoyable and relaxing. It is also very beautiful. <\/span><\/p>\n
